Hi all I was thinking of buying a small pleco but I was thinking of keeping like royal pleco,L27 types Any nice intro?Btw care and mantaince wise easy?
Can I treat the pleco like any common pleco or need abit of special needs?
also easy to comm with rays aros etc.
And how big do they go up? Because my upgrade might be either 6x2.5x2.5 or 733

from my limited knowledge, i know that plecos have extremely high bioload. gotten change ur wool almost everyday. u cannot treat them as the common suckerfish. u need to provide dw for them to chew, otherwise if they go for ur side silicon, den good luck to u. plecos with aros are not a problem, but with rays, it depends. need to monitor.

>Bro try to get season dw,they given out less toxin that the p.h will be slightly affected n given less yellow estract too,for info i hate that...! so we still can maintain crystal clear water..n yes it will be thier main diet,they will chew n eat it actively the bio load can be hight ..i usualy will check the wool daily , n change or wash it 2-3 time a week if needed

i comm mine 8" with aro n other tank mates,try feed the faller with sinking pallet daily n ones a week treat them with cumcamber or other veg they would defianely like it..

L190 can be very attractive. As you got ray in the tank n only 1 royal, not too much DW. Get 1 will do n place them at a corner so that it will have a place of its own (also for it to chew) and reduce conflict between ray n pleco. For royal panaque, best to give veg food (Hikari algae wafer etc.) as main diet due to their digestive system although they do take carnivorous pellets.

u can check acutually at the wool is ther any wood fiber cosume by the pelco..
agree with bro issacyeo,if u hv rays better get small dw like 1+ft or less size of yr width tank, so place them at the coner,so they dont conflict n hv palce for thier own area..n monitor them for a week or two..

I read somewhere that the "spider dw"I was using wasnt suitable for pleco keeping.. So I posted online yesterday to buy a seasoned dw and I found 2 pcs and I joined them together. wanted to post pics buy cant so sorry
Its currently relocated at 2ft bare bottom tank with a 1ft plus dw and some tank mates 5 albino Bichir and 1 kbl
And after work Im going to farmway to buy stuff to set up a stackable fiter system lol Sulawesi Utara Aquarium
